uilding and designing sets for photoshoots has its ups and downs but I feel so lucky to have a job that gives me creative freedom.  It is so important for me have a job where creativity is encouraged.  Where the environment is constantly changing and new ideas are rewarded.

It’s kind of like meditation.  I’m really focused on what I am doing in the moment.

orking in set design is not for everyone I have to admit.  Start with the manual labor and potential hours spent doing the same task over and over. Throw in the indecisive creatives making deadline decisions and the fact that work is very inconsistent.  It doesn’t sound like a dream job on paper but personally, the benefits like creativity, education, training and experience far outweigh the negatives.
